Project tote patchwork
Our project size tote bags make an awesome gift for a maker. An excellent size for a knitting, crochet or sewing project. They also make a great lunch bag or a smaller day bag when you are just taking the essentials with you.
Every tote is handmade in Sydney using 100% linen. The feature fabrics are hand screen printed linen or linen that has been hand dyed by Mickey and Lou in a Shibori style.
The totes are linen lined and have an internal side pocket. The bag closes with a linen drawstring closure to keep everything safely inside. There is a handy double front pocket which includes a zip on the very front pocket.
We use natural veg tan leather straps which have be treated with a natural leather conditioner and fixed to the bag with brass rivets. We also use natural leather for the drawstrings.
The tote measures approx 8” (20.3cm) wide measured at base. 5” (12.7cm) deep and 10” (25.4cm) tall.
Our totes are made using Anna Graham of Noodlehead’s Firefly tote pattern.
A note about natural leather. Our natural leather straps are not dyed. They have been treated with a natural waxy leather conditioner. You may apply more conditioner from time to time. The natural leather will change colour and acquire marks with use. We consider this to be a feature of the leather and not a fault.
A note about fabric. Every effort has been made to accurately portray the colours used in this fabric, however individual monitor settings may show slight discrepancies. Hand printed and hand dyed fabric on natural fibres display natural variations in colour and print, we think this adds to the beauty of our products.
A note on cleaning. Spot clean the fabric of your tote with soapy water. It’s always a good idea to check you cleaning product on an inconspicuous part of the material. Do NOT wet the leather.
